Tenso Professionals Meeting 2018
Berlin, 23 & 24 April

The next Tenso Professionals Meeting will be held in Radialsystem in Berlin, 23-24 April 2018. The inspiration for exciting choral projects may come from faraway places – across generations, continents, cultures …. In our next conference, we will invite artists, scientists and other visionary thinkers who inspire us with their ideas on art and music, to close the gap and work on new plans.

Katherine Zeserson (UK) will moderate the discussions with composers such as Hanspeter Kyburz (DE), Jug Markovic (RS), Sofia Borges (PT), artists such as Lars Scheibner (DE) and Karmina Silec (SI), researchers Marcin Popravski (PL) and Kristina Kolbe (UK/DE) and many more.

Featuring : a look into the « open kitchen » where Tenso alumni show us their visions for choral music. More info…

Tenso Young Composer Award 2017 : Lillie Harris

In May 2017, the jury awarded the prize commission to Lillie Harris (UK). From the jury report : the award went to the composer who « best used her own musical stance to create choral music which is not only musically rewarding, but also gives the text the place it deserves. »

The next edition of the festival for contemporary choral music will take place in Mechelen on 3-6 May 2018, with concerts of Chamber Choir Ireland and Zbor HRT, masterclasses for young musicians, and premieres of new pieces written in the framework of our project 14-18 : From poetry to music

Zbor HRT with conductor Tomislav Facini
